Payment Policy
This Payment Policy explains how payments, payouts, and refunds are handled when booking a stay or listing a property through Moidah Homes. Our goal is to make payment clear and fair for both guests and hosts.
How Payments Work
When a guest confirms a booking, payment is collected using the payment method provided during booking. Payment methods may include credit or debit cards, mobile money, bank transfers, or other secure options available on our platform.
Payments are processed securely through our payment system. Once payment is successfully charged, the booking is confirmed and the travel dates are reserved for the guest.
Security of Payment Information
Moidah Homes uses encrypted payment processing to protect card and financial data. We do not store full payment numbers on our servers, and all transactions are handled through trusted payment gateways following industry security standards.
Host Payouts
Hosts receive payouts after the guest’s stay has started. The exact timing of payouts will be communicated in your host dashboard and may vary depending on the payout method you choose.
To receive payouts, hosts must provide valid payout details such as bank account information or mobile wallet details. Hosts are responsible for keeping payout information accurate and up to date.
Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds for canceled bookings are handled according to the cancellation policy selected for the reservation at the time of booking. Guests and hosts are bound by the terms of that cancellation policy.
If a refund is due, it will be processed through the original payment method. The time it takes for funds to reflect back to the guest may vary depending on the payment provider or bank.
Payment Holds and Failed Payments
In some cases, payment authorizations or holds may be applied to ensure the validity of the payment method. If a payment fails due to an expired card, insufficient funds, or other reason, the guest will be notified to update their payment information.
If payment cannot be completed before the deadline, the booking may be canceled and the guest may lose their reservation.
Taxes and Additional Charges
Applicable local taxes or statutory charges may be added to the total price of a booking. Taxes are calculated based on the property location and applicable laws.
Any service fees or additional charges will be clearly presented during checkout before payment is submitted.
Disputes and Adjustments
If there is a dispute related to a payment or refund, both guests and hosts should contact Moidah Homes support. We review each case fairly and may issue adjustments when appropriate.
Changes to This Policy
Moidah Homes may modify this Payment Policy over time. Updated versions will be posted on our website. Continued use of our platform after changes means acceptance of the updated terms.
